Menoizikul; midweek musicalisms

Third in the minimalist series. There are two names which refer to 'giants' in this genre of composition. The first one is Philip Glass. You will know his style even if you don't know this piece - a lot of his music turns up in film scores. This piece is from The Hours.

  1. I am currently watching one of my favorite holiday romantic comedies, The Holiday, 2006 I think. I DVR it and watch several times.
LA gal, Cameron Diaz, switches houses with British gal, Kate Winsett, who lives in Surrey.
Jack Black is in it too he creates scores for movies. Very interesting all the gizmos and keyboards they have to create movie scores. The Hour is not something I've seen but I like the score.

  2. The music is quite beautiful. We have to give a shout out to one of the grandboys, T. He is 12 years old and in the 6th grade. He was just named to the John Philip Sousa Honor Band and will be the lead baritone of the five baritones selected. We are so very proud of him.
