WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menoputtering; Being Loco Local

As I alighted from the ferry last week on my return to The Hutch, it was 15:30h and already getting dark - in part due to heavy cloud, but anyway because this is how it happens around here at this time of the year. Which is why a lot of folk go a bit gaga, doolally, loco... we NEED sunlight to keep us sane.

However, there is sanity of sorts which comes with the bracing, ice-laden wind, negative ions from the sea-spray, and gazing upon a landscape low and wide. Permit me, dear ones, to share a few moments with you. (Apologies for fuzziness - I saved it to low MBs for ease of upload...)

Coming to you later this week... FFF!!!

  2. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh YAM.... I almost needed a Dramamine..the wind and the waves. Thank goodness you had your luggage (I think you were walking) to keep you grounded.
Said and done I was tickled to see the ground on which you trod when you are out and about.

  3. I agree, even though I am a sunshine lover, there is something bracing and invigorating about cold air and also the sound of crashing waves. it was almost like I was There With You...

  5. It looks cold there, but Mom says the crashing of the waves is very appealing and calming to her.

  6. I can survive December by knowing the solstice will occur, and then one minute of sunlight a day stands against gaga.

  10. I find the adjustment to the short days hard, but with a little vitamin c and d, 2 sad lights, it went relatively well this year.

  12. The dreary dark I do not mind but the dampness and cold from the water why my bones would ache all the time. I could just feel the damp cold in your video. Now if it summer then I would love being there.

Technically, it is a firth (Scots equivalent of a fjord) - the Clyde Firth and River were once the best-known waterways after the Thames. It is still highly trafficked by shipping, but no longer are the mighty ocean-goers built along these shores... Yxx
