Back to the Hutch. The two weeks 'on duty' collapsed a bit, but these things will happen. The lurgy well-gone now; just the aggravated asthma to get settled and back into its nest.
As I walked off the ferry, my heart again thumped a little stronger. It's that absence and fonder thing at work. Obviously, I like Dunoon. Wouldn't have picked it to live otherwise. There can be no denying, however, that having to leave it makes the return that bit sweeter. I had to pop and get some fresh milk before climbing up the hill, so grabbed the opportunity (between showers) to photograph the recently refurbished Queen's Hall. The town library - which was up the other end of the main street - now lives here too. On the first floor, with glass walls through which to gaze upon the Clyde and the hills. There's a fitness club (gym), kids facilities and cafe...

Oh YAM I'm glad you are home for a bit...back to your little nest in the Hutch.
ReplyDeleteNo worries these photos are plenty such a nice redo of the building and the stone work amazing. I see a clock tower peeping at me too and a very nice memorial/statue on the left
Hugs and rest up!!
Cecilia
I still think a library is an important part of a community and its good to see this is recognised in Dunoon.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Gail.
maybe that's little like in that song by dad's rival Rod? The rhythm of my heart, when you make the first step at special places?
ReplyDeletethe old saying absence makes the heart grow fonder is really true. I feel the same way when I leave home, so much joy when I return to home base, the nest in which we live our daily lives.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful library to spend some time in exploring ~ Delightful photos ^_^
