Me-Now-Views; Less Speak More Peek

Another bloom or a few?  Why not... these are all from my father's garden in Edinburgh.

Above is something mother used to call 'paper flower'.  The yellow one is Lady's Mantel and the leaves used to be used for mastitis, hence the name.

Lantern grass and a wildflower permitted place; it is called Green Alkanet (pentaglottis sempervirens). ...okay, I had to search for that!

Yes, the columbines are one of my faves - the purple was one of my late mother's - purple salvia. And the bees here are ENORMOUS! &*> Yxx

  8. The flowers are just beautiful! I love the leaf of Lady's Mantle and how it can hold that single dew drop.

  10. Awesome macro photography skills! Number one and two are my favorite but they're all absolutely gorgeous. We don't have lady's mantle in our yard but we do have King's mantle in our yard

Good question! It will n t surprise you to know that it was mum... father not really interested in garden. So these were actually taken last summer before we officially got gardeners on board and these were almost all 'howked out', replaced by easycare shrubs and bark overlay... Yxx
