WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

MenoSundays; Life Lived Lovingly

I enjoy my one-a-day(late evening) posts to the instything, and I also enjoy the looking through the posts of those I have chosen to follow. I have kept the numbers low. It would be far too easy to get lost down the warren of interesting threads. I liken the use of IG to that thing of going to the pub (not that I have done that for years, or ever did to any great extent either!); where blogging is the home base, then a little light refreshment in an outside establishment for inspiration and some interesting but ultimately fleeting connections, and then it's back home again.

That said, there are some very worthy connections therein. Notably, those who are already blogpals. But also my spiritual home, Chinmaya Mission. Today's food for thought was one I needed to read last week. I would readily admit that my poise has been slipping rather badly of late. The physical, mental and emotional weight has been skewing me off my internal path and I need to correct that. Half the battle of improving things is acknowledging that need. Then taking the actions required to build up what has been lacking. Self-care. A work in progress...

  2. i looked up poise, because when i hear that word, i think of rich folk and their snooty ways, just something i was brought up on. but the definition says also balance, or equilibrium and that makes sense. we lose the balance in our lives, what keeps us going on our path, we fall off it.. so true, we have to KNOW we are off balance, hope your time in the hutch will allow you to regain your poise.

  4. Yam, your lovely logo (for want of the proper word) closely resembles my state, Ohio.
I truly have never seen you without poise. I see it as returning to equilibrium.
