What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

MenoSundays; Life Lived Lovingly

Yeah, late again... you know there's a thing or two going down at the Mac residence. No further word on father at this stage other than that he is in the neuro ward and will be for some time. The consultant was quite concerned for him and I have no doubt that he is in the best place he could be right now.

Meanwhile, the younger Macs and I practice our patience in Love of the capital 'ell' kind. It is all that we have for the moment.

Last night, Mac1 came over and I prepared a full feast for Deepavali (Diwali). Dad loves an Indian meal, particularly dahl and chapatti... we ate in his honour.

  7. The least you can do Yamini is to ensure that your father gets the best care. And I am glad he is getting it. My thoughts and prayers.

Very nice to see the Indian dishes, and happy to know that you all like them. And that sparkler there symbolizing the light removing darkness, bringing peace and happiness.

Wish you and family a Happy Deepavali. Because of the recent bereavement, we didn't have any celebrations. My wife and I went over to my brother-in-law's house and we had a meal.

Thank you, Pradeep-bhai! I think all 'celebrations' were lessened this year anyway due to COVID... but we each had that extra weight. I am glad you could be with family, which is so important at this time. My sister is very supportive and accommodating to my Hindu ways and thankfully my cooking of such meals is a little more than tolerable!!! (I have been preparing sattvika meals for over 20 years now.) Chinmaya Mission, with whom I sat gurukula, held an online Mahalakshmi puja which timed beautifully prior to our meal and helped to 'centre' me a bit. We are in the 'wait and see' stage with dad and will know nothing more till Monday. Pranaams to you and family, Yxx
