Me-Now-View...This Man Will Do

Alexander MacLean, 1936 - 2020
R.I.P. Daddy

I know that there are a few of you out there who would be willing to give a wee donation to Parkinson's UK for research into this ravaging disease, for which, thank you! If any of you can reach my brother's page on the book of faces there is a specific-to-dad linked giving page, should you wish to participate.

  7. As a long-time reader, but not commentator, we in the SE USA send our profound condolences. He was a handsome, good man, as I have gleaned from your writings. /Fay, Duard, the cardis3 and Spoo

  8. You world will be empty and numb for a while, and it takes time to rid your immediate recall of the most recent memories but that time will eventually come. Linger long on the fond memories, reinforce them, play then back often. We feel sure you will feel his love with you always. Furrings and purrings from Mr T, and deepest condolences from F.

  9. Oh Yam. My deepest condolences. I am so grateful for having met your father and seen glimpses of his compelling character. And how fortunate he was to be so well cared for by you and your family in his final months, and also the hospital staff of in his final days. An emptiness follows the loss of the last parent, for most I think, and it takes time to adjust. Now is the time to care for yourself too. I'm hoping it won't be too long before we can meet up again in person in 2021.
    Much love, Gail.

  18. Dear Yam - apologies for being late to say I was sorry to have missed this post ... challenging times for you - but you did so much for him ... he was very lucky to have you all around for him. You'll be thinking of so much now ... happy times, sad times, but you'll know he loved you and appreciated you for all you were doing for him. Then as we all know ... the work, and thoughts start ... big hugs for you - he was lucky and you'll appreciate that as time goes on. With many hugs - Hilary

  20. Dear Yamini-didi,

I am very sorry to know of the passing of your dear father. For some reason, I missed this post.

November was also a little over a month after my father-in-law passed. Along with that, pressures of work. And I wasn't checking all the posts. I tend to go off blogs occasionally.

I saw a reference to the bereavement in the Aatmaavrajanam blog post. And I went looking in the archives for this post, and came here.

You won't believe this, but thoughts about father used to come to my mind. And I wanted to how he was. You took such loving care of him. He will be always happy for that.

My condolences, my prayers to you and your siblings, and for the 'nithya shanthi' of his 'aatma'. May his soul rest in peace.

    Take care,
    Pradeep
