What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Och, he was just a lad!!! In the first photo - about 18 years. In the second, about 20. Some of our cousins have come to the party with some images that were not in dad's prodigious image library. Can't help but smile - and that is what such things are for.

We're a wee tad concerned. Having had a really rather blissful autumn, suddenly winter is declaring itself and the rain... O.M.G. the rain... maybe it'll run out by Friday?

  2. YAM what wonderful photos and Dad had a radiant smile.
The last funeral we attended was in a heavy cold January rain.
I hope and pray your rain clouds will come up dry on Friday too.

  4. Wonderful photos! I love it when people bring images of those I love that I've not seen! It is like a window into things I've only heard about!
    Sending you many happy thoughts

  9. Hi Yam - those are two excellent photos of your youthful Dad ... how lovely to have extra photos to add in to the family connections and images. I too do hope it won't rain for you on Friday ... it appears to be a week of unsettled weather ... so I guess as many large brollies as possible. With thoughts for a dry day ... take care -Hilary

  13. Living in north Texas snow was a panic situation. There were about 6 inches of wet snow on the day of my dad's funeral. There were over 250 folks in attendance. I am very sure your day will be a time of honoring your dad no matter the weather. namaste, janice xx
