What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Me-Now-Views; Less Speak More Peek

Today and next Tuesday, I am going to share a bunch of screenshots with you... all taken from Swedish TV's "slow television", three-week transmission, achingly beautiful Great Moose Migration! Each day I spent at least an hour, if not two or three, with this on in the background - just for the wonderful sounds if nothing else. For a lot of the time there were no moose - but lots of other life, including herds of reindeer (or one local herd showing up several times). The daylong films can be viewed for up to a year from now... or you can watch the "highlights" reel which is now scheduled in June.

  2. I get sucked into watching the Delta2 Eagle Cam every spring. This is very close to my sister's house and I love watching the eagles raising their babies. I used to love sitting with my sister in her yard watching the parents teach them to fly (something you can't see from the nest cam). Sometimes I really miss living in Vancouver. Thanks for the new sights sites to visit and watch the wildlife!

  6. So beautiful, so serene. Strangely comforting to know there are cycles which turn beyond our own small, personal upheavals.

  9. What a beautiful thing to watch!
JB spent the day watching curling online! The kids bought us GoogleCast, which magically puts YouTube on the TV. He's in his happy place.

  13. Oh I like that idea - slow television. An underwater version would be good too - perhaps with the ebb and flow of tides
