WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

First Friday Filmclub

Something a little different this month, insofar as this video is a personal one, created by one of my long-term blogpals, "Magiceye", aka Deepak Amembal, of Mumbai. Those readers who have been here long enough will recall I visited him - or more specifically, his dog Bozo - shortly before departing India. Anyway. Deepak likes to ride around his local area on a pedal bike... but also travels far on his motorbike - wearing a camera. Thus we get to ride along with him and share some of the roads, traffic, people, city and countryside and wonderful vistas of the destination.

The YAMster, in her younger years, had a couple of boyfriends who were bikers and she thus learned to be a good pillion passenger (there's technique, you know!) and really loved the freedom of riding this way. Thus, I get rather a buzz from watching Deepak's ride alongs. In a recent post, he asked that the video be shared (and if you click through you'll be able to see more of Deepak's vids - and subscribe to his channel if you like the thrill of these as much as I do!).  So without further ado, here it is... (pee ess - you can read more about the trips over at Travel Magic!)

  2. Loved it. Interesting how on the main roads almost all the traffic seemed to be lorries and motorbikes. Of cause I paused the video to have a closer look at the bicycles!
Shortly off on my own road trip to Torridon.
    Cheers, Gail.

  3. OMCs YAM you road on a motorcycle? ! WOW you go girl!!
When my friend Ann and I were teenagers we begged our parents to let me ride with some of the guy friends I had.
Ann's parents and hatched a cure. Ann was going to the beach with us for a week. Daddy had permission from Ann's parents to let her ride on a motorcycle with him. As soon as we arrived Daddy rented a motorcycle. Ann and I was over the moon with glee. We rode every day for 7 days. After that, it was no longer such an exciting idea just oh been there done that. LOL

India is a land of immense beauty... sadly we see so little of it on our screens here in 'the west' - we just get the negatives (ignoring our own dark side in comparison...) Yxx

  6. Yay for you, YAM! I've been on the back of a Triumph, a Harley and Indian motorcycles and it's a blast although I do prefer the back roads to the highway. I truly enjoyed this video!
