Continuing the sharing of travel videos that have captured my imagination! Carol and Ken love an adventure and a free park up for the night (not wild-camping, though often referred to as such... w-c is really only applied where tents are involved. Actual camping, as opposed to van or motor-homing, which is more correctly called boondocking or dry camping when not on paid hook-up). But we won't argue with Ken. He's a retired superintendent of police. His drone work is some of the best on the net.
I give you this film because it involves lots of lovely animals... but I encourage you to watch all their vids from the Isle of Man - a place rarely seen online and which clearly has lots of appeal for those enjoying this lifestyle.

ReplyDeleteI love it... the rainbow sheep is just great!!!
ReplyDeleteI spent a few days on the Isle of Man on a cycling tour with some fellow students in 1980. A strange place, it felt like the island time had forgot (not necessarily in a good way) and I haven't really been motivated to return. One of my cousins currently lives there - her husband Jeremy, a QC, has the grand title of 'Judge of Appeal'.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Gail.
They sure do have the best adventures and Molly is happy that she gets groomed much differently than the poor sheep does☺
ReplyDeletethe only thing i see is ice cream! ha ha looks like they have all my house holds in that tiny van. you are right, dogs, horses, sheep, lambs coos.. what is not to love
ReplyDeleteLOL you had my attention with the Ice Cream in the opening.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun and what beautiful scenery
Hugs Cecilia
We slways love the dog agility stuff (and the agility of the accompanying humans). xxx Mr T
ReplyDeleteNice one :)
ReplyDeleteThat is really interesting! Our kids like canoe camping best. My SIL was in Algonquin Park last month. It was chilly! Great selection! xx
ReplyDeleteOh what fun! I really miss camping. Dave and I camped in the back country from May thru November, We always talked about taking a trip to the British Isles and stopping in all the places I have family (which is every where from Ireland to Devon, but alas, no Scottish ancestry (unless the the Hebrides are part of Scotland). He would have loved this couple's videos.

DeleteWell, Barb - geography is perhaps something for you to brush up on... The Hebrides are ULTIMATE Scotland!!! So many folk think of 'highlands' but it is actually Highlands and Islands. The H&I stretch from Shetland in the north to the Kintyre peninsula in the south, and from the Outer Hebrides in the west to Moray in the east. It accounts for just over half of Scotland's landmass, but less than 9% of its population. Mainly due to the 'clearances' and mass migration away from those lands... leading to people such as yourself being able to trace connection to the Bonny Land! Yxx
