WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menortikulating; Not Tickled

The world has taken a darker turn of late, has it not? One does what one can to remain bright and optimistic about humanity's better nature. There are, however, plenty of nitwits about doing their best to burst balloons. This is the last day of Fear-bruary for me, but fear is a daily and very real occurrence for many others. Putting my petty whims right into place.

Tomorrow is Mahaa Shivaratri, one of the massive festivals on the Hindu calendar. There are 24 hours of chanting and prayer to burn one's sins and seek guidance on improvement. It is, sort of, a day of atonement. From midnight tonight until midnight tomorrow, the diet is restricted to sabudana (sago), alloo (potato), milk (and foods made with it), fruit fresh and dried. Meditation ought to be the dominant action beyond chanting and prayers.

Tomorrow, my prayers will be for politicians everywhere to come to their senses. We live in a world where those in charge seem to wish to make their mark by emulating historical figures and features. At best, this is sheer incompetence and is of no real use to their nations. At worse... well. We are witnessing that yet again.

It can be an almost impossible task to get things right in politics - but that is no excuse for following the lowest line.

I have created something new. Have discovered Chrome Canvas on OctoKan. It is a visual meditation upon the question, "HOW CAN WE SET BOUNDARIES WITHOUT CROSSING BORDERS?" Might I ask you, in whatever way you choose to reflect, to ponder upon this conundrum also? Let us collectively send Love and Light to those whose boundaries and borders are under invasion.

  5. Words have failed me. I can't find any suitable succinct way of expressing the emotions, to describe how despicably I regard anyone who occupies the position of a leader purely for their own grand designs, fails to lead, and has no regard for humanity. Maybe we too should resort to creating it in something other than words. Yours, Mr T and F

  9. It is very much a crazy world. Who could have predicted this. Such insanity, from a former KGB spy, shouldn't be a surprise.
