Menoizikul; Midweek Musicalisms

One of metal music's absolute classic songs is The Unforgiven, by Metallica. It is a cry of angst against the songwriter's repressed and constrained childhood as his parents controlled his social interaction and how hard it is to break the bonds to become a truly independent adult... how those tightly wound threads can remain with us still.

This song has had many different cover versions, but this one by Mozart Heroes is not only musically profound but it is combined with one of my other fave things - dance. Here, Nikhil Thamke and his troupe from India bring real drama and effective interpretation to the piece. Rather breath-taking - all the way through to the end.
