What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menoturals; Saturday Sounds

The Chaffinch is quite ubiquitous around the Hutch's area, and I have taken quite a few shots, particularly of the male... and because of that, I am deliberately sharing one of my rarer photos of the female of the species! As with all the warbler species, the song is crisp and clear...

  1. Beautiful. We get so very few finches these days that the nyger seed we put out for them just ends up sprouting - uneaten.

  5. A Chaffinch, a lovely bird, is a finch not a warbler, unless you mean that it warbles in such a lovely way and is thus, in that sense, a sonorous warbler indeed.

  9. Hello :=) It's a beautiful bird, the male in particular and I hear it's delightful song in spring more than I actually see it.
