What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.
On Friday, I do a bit more about Australia... I cannot listen to this song without welling up in tears. Call me sentimental. Call me soppy. Call me cry baby. Call me anything you like... just as long as you also remember to call me Australian...
Hi Yam - love the image of Australia ... and yes I can join you with other songs for your Australian ... I often feel the same way about Africa, or just being home ... cheers - lovely song - thanks for posting - Hilary
beautiful harmony. there are certain songs that make me tear up to. of course i can't think of one right now.. Austrailia, parts of it is a place I could love, the parts that are like Florida.
OM GOODNESS YAM what a beautiful song. I don't think I've ever heard it...but I will not forget. I can certainly understand your emotions as you listen. Are these Seekers the same group I remember from the '60's when the folk songs were so very popular? Hugs Cecilia
I am - you are - we are Australian. Not by birth but by choice!

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous song and their voices blend so beautifully together♥
ReplyDeleteI can see why this ditty invokes nostalgia and sentimentality. Time to load The Grey on a ship and get yourself back there, YAM.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful voices.
