What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menoturals; Saturday Sounds

Today, a very still late afternoon by the Moray coast. The few birds you hear calling are the Sandwich Terns, summer visitors to these shores, and likely preparing for take-off to other climes. (Many birds seem to have hung around longer than expected, as the warmer days did extend this year.) Next week another video from the same spot with noisier birds - but I know a lot of you enjoy the watch as much as the listen and this was just too pretty to not share!

  1. By now, you've given me enough temptation and motivation to start travelling. I must go and see some beautiful places. Right now I'm seeing the beauty of my village and surrounding areas only. What lovely sounds here in this video!

  4. Hello Yam,
What a lovely scene and video. It is peaceful to sit and watch the birds flying by and in the water. Thank you for sharing your critter post and for linking up! Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

  5. Yam that is a gorgeous photo and a bonus audio of Sandwich Terns. What a fun name.
I'm still seeing ruby throated hummingbirds that arrive each year by late March........thru mid October if I'm lucky.
I do believe the ones visiting now are using my feeder as 'filling station'. They seem a bit confused by the feeder which has several itty bitty holes for sipping "my personal' hummers fly right up perch and sip as recently as lasty week we were seeing at least 2 at a time several times a day. Now just morning and dusk...
Many hugs and thank you for the lovely peaceful video
