What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.
The third choice from Miss Cecilia throws me right back to childhood. My mother was a fan of Paul Anka and had several of his discs for the record player. ...and the man's still going!
Good Morning fellow Pall Anka Fans!!! YAM aunty what a very special memory you have of Paul and how much your mom enjoyed his the most talented vocalist, musician and writer. I was introduced to "A steel guitar and a glass of wine" by a roommate I had while taking attending summer classes at Campbell College in 1967. She had a record player in our room. I played the 45 a lot she finally gave it to me.
Thank you all for listening today. The vocal and music are soothing to me. Hugs Cecilia
Hi Cecilia and Yam - he's got a wonderful voice ... seems to wrap you in his arms ... and I'm so pleased you've featured him here ... I do remember him ... cheers Hilary
wonderful... as the people had such classy clothes while on the stage....
ReplyDeleteI saw him live once. I wasn't a fan, but my friend was.
ReplyDeleteI remember Paul Anka but not this song.
ReplyDeleteHe was an Ottawa boy and probably wishes he still lived there instead of the United States of Dystopia.
ReplyDeleteThe song is new to me but I do remember Paul Anka.
ReplyDeleteTake care, enjoy your day!

ReplyDeleteOh, the sweet memories:). Not a huge fan of Paul, but he was OK. I remember the Sunday night Ed Sullivan Show - where we first saw The Beatles!!!
