WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menoturals; Aquatica

Rosy and Sunny, the LLB Gang who host the Nature Friday meme, have a mum who is very fond of fish and all things sea. I teased you with a couple of glimpses of the aquarium at the Pets Corner in earlier posts. Here are the remaining images from that visit to enjoy - not all brilliant, but enough to please those who appreciate water life.

Metynnis Argenteus - Silver Dollar Fish

Pygocentrus Nattereri - Red-bellied Piranha

Paracanthurus Hepatus - Royal Tang (among other names...)

Vieja Melanurus - Redhead Ciclid

Blood Parrot Cichlid (Amphilophus Citrinellus × Vieja Melanurus)

Solid White Goldfish

Andinoacara pulcher - Blue Acara

Tomorrow, there will be the last of the short videos from this visit... and I'll end today's post first with a rose for Rosy, then with a reminder that next week is when our two memes come together!

Share a post which you think is just
a little bit extra special!

  1. Love that Royal Tang - I wonder if those colours are what the character Dory is based on in the animation Finding Nemo. Glorious. Glowing. Luminescent.

  4. A whole other world. We send rovers to Mars yet we barely understand this other realm here on Earth and toss our junk into it. I am still diligently searching for Homo sapiens, but I haven’t found him yet.

  7. Hi Yam your beautiful aquarium photos have reminded me of all the fishes we had in ours years ago
I like the sliver dollar. I also recall we had one I think was a rainbow tetra quite pretty. We had small catfish that I found very intriguing and of course the Plecos
