I thought I had taken more shots - another senior moment! If you would like to see a bit more, I again offer a click through to Mia's Instagram of it. The use of old books and letters was captivating. The slight irony of my hands appearing on a work that includes 'shadow' in the title is not lost!
WYSIWYG
What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.
Menonday Art Vibe; Mama Mia
As Mac1 and I absorbed the elegance and beauty of the works presented at New Contemporaries by the next artist, another lady was paying equally detailed attention. Conversation sparked as it so often does in shared admiration. It took quite a few minutes before it was revealed to us that this was the elder Mrs G, mother of Mia! She had come by train all the way from Wales to see her daughter's works, and was just about to leave to catch the train home. She was a lady with whom both my sister and I would have loved to sit for an afternoon and make a fuller acquaintance. As it was, those ten precious minutes warmed our hearts, and we could be sure that our appreciation for the artist would be carried in person to her.
