Menoizikul; Midweek Musicalisms

This composer could have gone second, as the date is actually one day before JCFF... but age before less age was applied here.

Peter Maxwell Davies is an eclectic composer and also well known for conducting. Born 8th of September, Manchester, UK. I  confess PMD is not altogether unknown to me, as I have actually sung some of his choral work, in yonder days of such participation. Although his work is clearly modern, it adheres to classical connections, so it is quite easy on the ear. Here is one short sacred piece, and if you would like more from this collection, click here.

  4. The voices and the organ are both sublime, YAM. Thanks for the introduction to a composer formerly unknown to me.
