Menoizikul; Midweek Musicalisms

October birthday boys (and it is all boys, I fear) for the first four weeks, then a fun finish for the fifth offering. 

Let us begin with Karol Szymanowski, a Polish composer, born on 6th October 1882 in Tymoshivka, Ukraine. I confess I haven't warmed to this composer. I tried out several items and was mostly unmoved by them. This piece, though, was quite soothing and quite a good introduction for the curious...
