WYSIWYG
What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Let's round off 2025 with an affirmation to carry into the next year. This was offered by Kit, Kat, Rocky and Cali on Miss Cecilia's blog a few months back, and I took permission to pass on the message. It's something we all know and even remember to practice... but sometimes let it slip. Worth putting up on the sidebar, I think!

Ja, es stimmt. Oft vergisst man die guten Vorsätze und ändert nicht viel. Aber wir können wieder versuchen im neuen Jahr wrst zu denken und dann zu reden.

Very true, Yamini! That is a good one out there, and so relevant nowadays. What one speaks and how one speaks matter a lot. It can set the ball rolling either in the right direction or in the wrong direction. As someone said, saying something inappropriate is worse than not saying what is appropriate!
ReplyDeleteThere are times when it is best to just smile and not say a word!
ReplyDeleteagree 1000 percent... now if I could just to remember to do this 1000 percent of my speaking
ReplyDeleteA wonderful message that we all should practice!
ReplyDelete...also ask these questions before forwarding what one receives on social media!
ReplyDeleteIt’s pretty much always true. Sometimes (often, hope) it’s helpful. I doubt that it’s inspiring. It’s certainly not always necessary. I think it’s nearly always kind.
ReplyDeleteGood advice to follow! Take care, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYes, that mantra is important.
ReplyDeleteA great message that also applies to posting something on the internet.
ReplyDeleteOH YAM aunty it is a winner that should be posted often.
ReplyDeleteTHINK is imPAWtant... engage our brain before we open our mouths.
Hugs Cecilia, Kit, Cali, Kat and Rocky
Excellent! XX
ReplyDeleteIf we could live by these rules, the world would be such a better place. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2026. Tigris, Styx, Lanie and their people
ReplyDeleteI would put it on a wall but living around ADD brains I have come to realize that what gets spoken will generally be unfiltered. Expecting them to constantly mask is also unreasonable on my part.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed!! We have a sign like that where I work. (In a nursing home).
ReplyDeleteHi Yam - yes ... think before we speak .. cheers Hilary
