Menonday Art Vibe; Henry Kondracki Peeks
The third and last of my introduction to the painting of HK, son of Polish post-war immigrants, born in Auld Reekie, and clearly much in love with it. He also has a deep appreciation of the waters that permeate and surround this Bonny Land. This image, which I screenshot from the online exhibition (linked in the first of these three posts), could be anywhere around the coast, but it is singing to me because I watch trawlers out on the Clyde Firth, sometimes in very choppy waters like this! This is a smaller piece, and within budget, so am considering purchase. Indeed, by the time this posts, I will be over at this year's Annual Open Exhibition at the National Gallery, and I will take the opportunity to ask to see this 'in the canvas' and make a decision...

ReplyDeleteI appreciate the introduction to Henry Kondracki's artwork, particularly his depiction of coastal scenes. The emotions evoked by his pieces are palpable. On a separate note, for those looking to increase their online presence, downloading relevant apps, such as Top Follow app for Instagram followers, can be a useful strategy.
ReplyDeleteLove the painting with its choppy waters!
ReplyDeleteGiven your affinity for vessels that ply Scottish waters, YAM, it would be a wonderful acquisition for you. It conveys the vulnerability of a small boat at the mercy of the roiling sea and the skill of the mariners who steer it through the storm.
ReplyDeleteThe painting is beautiful. I would not want to be out on boat on the choppy waters.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great day and a happy week ahead!
What a beautiful painting. I hope you decide to add it to your collection.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful detail, especially with the movement of the water!

ReplyDeleteA heart stoping picture. A real little boat in a real big sea.
ReplyDeleteIt is stunning
ReplyDeleteI am wondering if this is what the boat the disciples were on, in a storm, when Jesus came walking to them over the waters. Its beautiful. the water looks wet to the touch and the storm waters are so realistic
