Since arriving, I have been hearing a cock crow. In the middle of high-rise suburbia, this is somewhat out of the ordinary. I decided not to pay it any attention. Then I went for the late afternoon walk last Monday.
As I finished and was coming out of the park I heard a rustling over to the creek-side...
Say what??!! Not your average visitor. Wonder where he escaped from?

A fine looking fellow indeed. I wonder if anyone is missing him?
ReplyDeleteMaybe the house behind me, theirs has gone missing along with the hens, maybe they ate them.
ReplyDeleteMerle...........
Good for him. :-) Maybe people are going back to keeping chickens in their gardens.

ReplyDeleteBertie/Gail - I suspect he may have been 'let loose'; our council permits a maximum of 6 laying hens and one cockerel per quarter acre block - but of course the cocks make themselves unpopular after a while!
Merle - hens as well - I may have found them too!! Watch this space...
Perpetua - see first response above Y*>
