As S and I wandered under the road bridge, we moved from the coastal side of the Entrance channel to the Lake side. Tuggerah Lake is quite an enormous expanse in it's own way and very attractive.
The hire place was all shut up though...probably just as well; kept YAM from wanting to mess about in boats! Then we were greeted by a flight of fledgling Shags, which landed in the tree above our heads...
The ever-present pelicans somehow make these shots more meaningful - or am I just being menosukhi??!
We ended the day with an hour at a close-by Toowoon Bay - sand and surf, a few seagulls - and moon rise...
Does it get any better?
Well I suppose it can, at a different time. On this day though, it was close to perfect.
Sigh...
