I sit before the keyboard an hour before having to hit that little orange tab over on the right of screen thinking about the 'fly-by-seat-of-pants' postings I have been doing this week. There is a raw feeling about such a thing. Usually I have at least allowed myself a few hours to ponder the content, to temper it, to knead it into some semblance of sense.
Which is daft really, 'cos this whole blog was set up on the premise of mid-life idiocy.
Anyway, it has been another day of working the search engine and emails in relation to organising The Move. Boring, tiring, but necessary and with growing degrees of success.
Overall though, the whole thing is an exercise in patience and forbearance. Dialling government departments is always fun. I am sure my readers in every part of the globe can identify with this fact.
"Hello, you have reached BlahdityBlah; if you wish single-width-elbow polish, press 1; if you wish yesterday's leavings, press 2; if you wish to pop a bubble wrap, press 3; if you wish to go to the tartan peek show, press 4; if you wish to sing a solo, press 5; if you wish to audition for the curling team at Sochi, press 6; if you called about the department's ability to assist you in your query please hold......"
I do want to take a moment to send out my condolences and heartfelt wishes for improving times to my readers in the SW of Britain, where floods have been as devastating as any could be, with no obvious sign of respite. Stay strong.

Dreadful about the floods.
ReplyDeleteLuv, K
Yes, terrible times with flooding.
ReplyDeleteI usually have several posts on the go. Like a real writer, who jots things down for food for thought, I do the same.
I get curious about how things work, and like to put it in a post for later thought.
I so hope you get things resolved. You mailed it, with the phone thingies. crikey, it's enervating!
