What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menoffagainorrhea [me-noff-again-or-rhea]; the condition of the endless traveller

Oh dear, yes I'm afraid I am at it again.  Had cause to make a journey East to Edinburgh. Nothing major, if truth be told, but had been putting it off since I got to Dunoon.  Until I get used to the West, where in Glasgow I can go for the items of Indian groceries that I require, it made sense simply to make the extra hour of journey, to territory well-known and with the added benefit of visiting the father, Mac1 and The Maestro (of whom we are all proud.  I did a search on her just now and found an Edinburgh blogger who took some photos and wrote a short piece on The Maestro.  You may like to see it...)

Meanwhile, the journey from door to door, via foot, ferry, train and bus is about three hours.  Once here I ran around the place doing the shopping.  Now can spend time with the family.

But look!! It's time to post already.  Forgive the brevity.  Again.

  1. 3 hours is a long time to get anywhere.

  2. Merle is right; three hours is the better part of a morning or afternoon. But no cats or dogs expecting you to fill the dish, so visiting and browsing is just fine.

  3. Three hours is what it takes us to drive to Calgary. Not considered a long drive here in Canada, but a lot of hopping on and off ferries, trains and buses, not to mention the on-foot part.
Now to click on "you may like to see it" to see if I like to see it or not. :)

  4. Oh, I love Amy's red-gold hair and freckles, and I enjoyed Spanish Jollity very, very much.
I have one friend who is blind, and one who has scoliosis. The two together is two too many.

  5. Sometimes its just easier to take a little more time to shop where you are comfortable. Being able to visit family at the same time is a nice bonus.

Thanks to all my commenters once again - I am still not in a stable enough position to keep up with individual replies, but with each passing day...

Kay - sadly Amy has so much more than the two conditions mentioned; but she is a musical prodigy and constantly astounds!!
