Royalty has arrived. My darling little niece-dog Lady Vicki (Birchams Lady of the Baylham Dachsie Barkers) and her mum, life-long friend Aitch have made a major journey North from the bump in the tail of England to reach me here in Dunoon.
They came first to Edinburgh to meet up with 'grandad' MacLean. LV was, however, more interested in gardening...
and recuperating...
On Saturday morning though, she was ready for the off once more
as we headed West. Weather lifted a bit and there was a promise of sunshine, so the decision was made to drive the longer way round, via Loch Lomond. By the time we got there, however, Mr Sun had done a runner...
The land-locked loch more resembled a turbulent sea! The wind was bitter and the rain came over. But we enjoyed our walk anyway.
It does nothing for a gal's hair-do though...

Awwwww! :-) Poor Lady Vicki. How can one be groomed and poised on a windswept lochside? I hope Aitch has packed some warm woollies, as the temperature is forecast to drop rather a lot midweek. Brrr!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I agree. Poor Lady Vicki trying to look as befits royalty while being buffeted about by breezes better befitting the Greenland coast.
ReplyDeleteLindy sends commiserations and says, "Sympath, sympath, Lady V. I know how it is. Last summer my dad insisted on taking me into a cold lake and making me swim to shore."
Sigh.
Luv, K
Hari Om, Yam! I tell you, that is one seriously cute pooch. Does she have just a hint of Womble in her? Still planning on heading up once this damned work situation sorts itself out. I must get to a beach soon! Indigo x
ReplyDeleteLady Vicki, that is what is known as Scottish hair. It is all the rage up here. But it does still need topping off with some mud from a nice squelchy peat bog.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
Hari OM
ReplyDeletePerpetua - yes we saw that...but it will not dampen spirits we say!!!
Kay - Passed the message along - LV however is taking it all in her pint-size stride!
Indigo - maaaattteee - beach? Bring the thermals just in case!
Bertie - just read that out to LV and I got the regal look of "leaving that one to you sirrah!"
Much fun!
