What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Me-Now-Views; Less Speak More Peek

Last week on MY TAKE I posted a tease to tantalise.  Here is the whole story.

...yup it's Storm-brelly!!!

It has had its fair share of mention over the winter.  It was bought a little before Christmas in Edinburgh when I got caught without protection when on Princes Street shopping spree.

It is far and away the most expensive umbrella I have ever purchased.  Worth every penny.

"Come on mum let's go shopping!!!"

See, weren't you glad you took me!!!  Not only am I rain proof, I can survive gale force winds.  Look at my double layer of super-strength fabric, the superb stitching inside and out at my centre...

Yes indeed, I'm special. I am The Storm-brelly!!!

  1. No-brolly is a sad state of affairs, for sure.

  2. I too have relatively recently found out about the benefits of a well made brolly. A couple of winters ago my sister in law gave me this pink flowery Cath Kitson affair for Christmas. It would not have been my choice, but it has survived and given excellent protection through many extremely wet and windy walks with Bertie, especially this year. And there is the added advantage that it is unlikely ever to be accidentally borrowed by any of my predominantly male colleagues...
Hope you enjoy your handsome and well made umbrella for many years to come.
    Cheers! Gail.

  4. I always say that you get what you pay for, so if you pay a little more for something there is probably a good reason :)

  5. When we have our "storm-brella" open to dry, the cats like to hide under it.

Looks like you have some nice umbrellas there!

  11. That is one fantastic and very handsome brolly. We have brollies too but in Perth we seldom have to use them but there is always one by the front door and one in the car...just in case.
