The sun came out to play. YAM has learned one thing since moving to Dunoon. When the sun comes out, carpe diem!!! So I hustled along the visitors and we got out the door by 10 am. Headed for Isle of Bute.

We took our time with the scenic drive over the back-bone of the peninsula, stopping for many a photo opportunity.
We reached Colintraive for the ferry and were over to the island by 11:30am.
It was Lady Victoria's first ever trip on a boat. There was some anxiety, but when the over water journey was done and finished in under five minutes, there was some consternation.
Boat? What boat?

We were met by tranquillity and temperatures heading up to the 20s! Everyone and everything was reveling in it.

At Port Bannatyne is to be found this magnificent and colourful vessel. The got warmer and warmer, brighter and brighter. We ate fish and chips looking back over to the Dunoon peninsula. Then headed over to the west of the island. I'll let the piccies talk.

Yes that last one is a seal basking on a rock!! It was a long way down from the viewpoint and the camera had its lens stretched to the extreme, so not the clearest shot I ever took - but enough to prove they were there. Lots of them actually.
The difficulty of this post was what to share with you. Over 150 shots were taken. Just as well we went though... the weather has, of course, deteriorated drastically. Ah well.

Oh, to pick the best photo... The one with the lambs, so cute! Or the one with the tulips and the blue sky, so pretty! Or the boat, so colourful! Or the cattle, who are in desperate need of some Haugesund hairdressers! It's too hard to pick. I love 'm all!!
