  1. I was recently part of an informal panel of four interviewing a geologist here in Aberdeen. Like the boy in your book, he was not on paper the strongest candidate. Interview complete, my boss asked what we thought. All three of us said the same thing. "We liked him. He was honest and straightforward. He didn't pretend to know about things beyond his experience". It was a heartening moment, and he was offered (and accepted) the job.
    Cheers, Gail.

  3. All wonderful qualifications. I'd hire him, too.
And I'm so glad the young man in Gail's comment was hired. I'm sure he'll do well.
So, I'm not announcing this to the entire world, but we are off away again on Monday. Will be back on the 18th, perhaps awake on the 19th. Hoping to meet fellow blogger Jenn from Ontario when we are both in Vancouver on the 18th. Will see some of my family in the Vancouver suburbs Monday evening.
    Luv, K

  7. Job interviews. The horror. I have only ever been on a few and fortunately I have gotten all the jobs (apart from the stewardess job, which I didn't want in the first place).
