'A sense of humour lends you poise, it gives you balance and it helps you to bend without breaking'

(HH Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda)

Menorise [men-oh-rIse]; the process of inculcation

Stop.  Look.  Listen.

...but we forget to do it, don't we? Even when we know better; even when it's what we have gone there to do...

It takes effort.  It takes consciousness to stop (with intent), to look (and see), to listen (with focus). It can be tiring to relax. It can exhaust to be present.

Practice builds stamina; makes perfect.  It's worth the effort.

  1. So very true!! Thank you for the reminder!

  2. I tend to pay attention; a friend once noted "you see everything!"
    Love the bench.

  3. It takes more effort than we realize. Sometimes even when we see it all we are not noticing the finer details. I have taken photos and once home with the photos uploaded I see details in those photos that I did not see at the time.

  4. Certainly does take practice and a great reminder.
