WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menofilcher...with a difference!

I subscribe to Loca's tubular channel. There's not heaps, but what is there is tremendous fun. This message went on air last week and I felt it was important enough to spread the word...
Some clear and essential points are made, I think you will agree &*>

NOW SOME EXTRA WORDS...PLEASE!!!!
I know that one or two other bloggers have pointed this out, but it makes no harm to repeat; BLOGGER HAS ENFORCED THE ROBOTIC NUMBERS CHECK ON COMMENTS ONLY WHERE BLOGGERS HAVE GOT "POPOUT BOX" VERSION... it was happening here, but have now embedded the comments box and this has circumvented the robot.  It has nothing to do with whether you already have any level of moderation on. This frustration is purely for popout boxes (where the comments are made on a separate box/page).  I am one of those whose eyesight even with glasses, struggles with those things and often have to make more than one attempt at getting through.

Please please please, if you have popout boxes, do consider now changing to embedded comments boxes. You can do this by going to the settings button of your blogs, then to the posts and comments sub-header in that.  There you will see the comments options... (I allow registered users only and never for moderation - in nearly two years I have had but 5 spam comments and these are easily marked as spam in the comments control label, getting rid of them for good).

THANK YOU and please spread the word.  Google is doing this because of spammers and hackers, so it is fair enough, but honest bloggers can sort it this way!

Glad you enjoyed... though that is the IRISH BROGUE young Loca has and not at all the Scots!

Yes the Blogger bizzo is a bit of a b***** but then again, embedding comments has this advantage of being able to reply directly! Yxx

    2. Just a wee message to Frankie. Don't feel bad about confusing Scottish and Irish accents. Gail was on a panel interviewing a geologist yesterday.Gail was told, by an English colleague who had already spoken to him, that he sounded Irish, although he had studied and mostly worked in the USA. When Gail met him, she too thought Northern Ireland. But in fact he was from the very southwestern corner of Scotland (which admittedly is closer to Belfast than Edinburgh.)
Cheers, Gail (lives in Scotland, still sounds very English!)

Thanks Mr Pip - to be fair, having popout boxes serves no real purpose as such, except perhaps to keep the page looking aesthetically pleasing. But I am realising I have the added advantage of direct reply and so will probably keep this now - even if Blogger does sort itself out!!!

  6. I love this video! Loca is so cute and gets the message across very well. I'm going to be forwarding this video on to some friends at our local shelter.

Blogger is such a pain. I'm going back to embedded too but I hope they get it fixed soon.

  9. Crikey ...... Mum just lets anyone comment on my blog. We've only ever had ONE nasty comment that we deleted as soon as we saw it. Should I do the embedding thingoe? I like the idea of instantaneous replies.
OMD!! That's the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. All true of course!! Thanks for sharing!!
