'A sense of humour lends you poise, it gives you balance and it helps you to bend without breaking'

Thanks to those of you who had your say in the comments box last week- there was also a bit of 'backroom' exchange and the decision has been made...

The future Guide Dog I am sponsoring is ISAAC!!!

Isn't he just the cutest bluey-black???

That is a very serious look;

"Is this the world? Am I expected to do that? Really???"

There will be regular updates from the Guide Dog folks on how Isaac is doing (or so it is stated), which I shall look forward to; some of you will know that not every pup who goes to training necessarily passes the test to become a fully fledged assistance dog.  Let us all cross paws that Isaac proves to be a star!

In this picture he is but six weeks old - though I think he is several weeks older now.  He is Retriever x Labrador. His dad is called Jinty and his mum, Lottie.

As if this wasn't enough cuteness for the day... check out the video below! (Not Lottie, but Daisy, a 3yr old Golden Retriever with her first ever litter.)

  1. Yay for Isaac!! We look forward to pup-dates after you receive them!!

  2. What a brilliant thing to do! You are a good woman. I am proud to know you. Vicariously!

  3. CRIKEY!!!!!!!! You got Isaac!! OMD ..... how cute is he???? He's going to be BRILLIANT ..... get a load of those eyes .... and that little face ..... crikey ...... Muuuuuuuuum ..... control yourself .... she wants to lick him all over ..... how repulsive is that?????

  4. He is so sweet. I have a few friends who have adopted guide dog "failures" and they have made lovely pets! We are routing for Isaac!

  5. What a handsome pup Isaac is! We hope he does well in his training

  6. We are glad that Isaac is the one... Some folks don't like black dogs fur some crazy reason. We are SURE he will do very well.
