What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Me-Now-Views; Less Speak More Peek

As promised last week, more from the early spring outing with the "Fudge"... Watch carefully - the first few are a series taken from the same spot, zooming in... whaddya see???

LOOK CLOSELY AT THE ONE ABOVE.... SEE ANYTHING DIFFERENT???  Okay, try this one...

WHAT IS THAT????????

IT'S JIMMY CROW.  Apparently.  Brwwwhaahahahahahaha... ahem. Okay, another of the ubiquitous oystercatchers now... sleeping, as it happens, so oystercatchers' headless bodies mostly...

Then, whilst round at Loch Striven, there was something intriguing spotted through the bush...

...can you see it?

Yes - that's a naval supply ship. It's an oil depot there, so am guessing it is loading up before heading off to replenish the fleet.  Finally, Toward Presbyterian Church...

Victorian Gothic at its most leering - even in broad sunlight!  Whatchya got to share with me this fine day???

Brwwhahahaha - or one of those oystercatchers... if you could see their heads you'd get the connection! Yxx

  2. How surprising to have a depiction of Jim Crow in Scotland. One wonders if there are separate but equal issues, or if the rock just popped up for painting.

...I suspect (hope?) it is just a coincidental 'decoration'; we do have a LOT of crows round here and that great Wegie epithet of "see yoo Jimmeh??!!" could be at play. 'Tis a resounding battle cry post-pub and at the soccer grounds round here... Which means I don't know that we have the demographic to understand your reference; yet is the very demographic which could be perpetrators of same... .... (judgemental of me, I know... sigh...we can all be wrong to someone I suppose...) Yxx

  6. Is that ever fun! We've been traveling around the region. It's too bad we don't have any open water. Frozen lakes, and underwhelming ones... Nor do we have the wonderful sights you have. Thnk you for sharing yours and your wonderful sense of humour and word play!!! xx

Love the old church but then it would wouldn't it? We don't have much in the way of historic buildings in Australia.

Oh I don't know Mimsie, there are some great settler's places around - and if you discount architecture, OZ has some outstanding historical sites!!! Yxx
