WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Me-Now-Views; Less Speak More Peek

Today - a retrospective, based on the colour ORANGE.... this is, in part, to show solidarity with my fellow Blogvillagers for the USA's drive to raise awareness and work for prevention of animal cruelty...I am a bit behind in getting this organised, but the sentiment is not for a month only - like any pet, care is required each and every day of every month of every year. Neither is this a need in USA alone. Also vulnerable are young children.  I think upon these each day in prayers. May relief and Love with the capital 'ell' visit the damaged, the pained, the precious ones.

Hope your week is glowing....

..and don't forget our invitation to Blogville!

Oohhh I say, researchers ahoy!!! Now I commend you on your efforts and quite understand how you might think this a Danaii subspecies of the Nymphaliadae; however... &*> Observe the body, which in the Danaii is slender and has distinct b&w markings upon the head, whilst in my photo it is somewhat fur-like and a little 'bulky'. Also the lower wing tails are serrated. This is an Oriental and Far North Australian species known as Cethosia penthesilea. The photo was taken at the Cairns Butterfly Sanctuary.

So yes it was on my travels whilst I was resident in OZtraylya!!! Yxx

  4. Fabulous display of a lovely color. Your orange flowered table covering in the first picture must the the best choice of all. Facebook keeps me too informed of animal cruelty; I hope we improve as a race.

  10. One can only hope that in everyone's haste these days they will stop and consider the wrong so often done to small children and animals. Much more needs to be done about both issues.
There was a case in Australia recently of a man (he was apparently 'stoned' at the time) who bludgeoned 9 little puppies to death with a brick. Said he didn't have enough fuel in his car to take them to the RSPCA and a friend had asked him to get rid of them. A year in jail doesn't really seek quite long enough for this person.
I'd not realised before how beautiful the colour orange is but of course sunsets, sunrises and so many flowers are that colour as we admire them every day.
Thank you Yam for a beautiful post. xx

It is a perennial problem for mankind Mimsie. It is not new, neither will it ever grow old, that there will be Men-men and Animal-men. All we can pray for is that any given moment, each of us can maintain our Men-men status; society can do all it does but in the end every individual must take responsibility for who they are and what they do. It is the responsibility of the Men-men to monitor those who fall below that standard and set example. .... a year in jail is one thing - a year in jail with daily service at an animal shelter to have the behaviour reassessed by the offender might have been a value-added option. Hey ho... for a magic wand...

Orange is a high vibration colour for sure! Yxx

  13. For me orange will forever be linked to the Netherlands. It always surprises me when people were orange clothes when it's not a major sports event where the Netherlands are participating or a major national holiday. But of course in other countries, they don't necessarily have that link.

Orange is the colour of the setting sun and, in Hinduism, those who are brought into the orange robes are considered to have a spirit as mature as the day is long... Yxx
