WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menocraicing; having a rowdy time; BLOGVILLE RODEO DAY (2)

GREMLIN ALERT - THE FIRST LINKY HOPPED BACK SEVERAL WEEKS FOR SOME REASON - HOPE YOU ALL FOUND THIS ONE AND HAVE CLICKED BACK FOR THE FIRST SET!!! (sssiiggghhhh, this is what happens when you leave Eric the Guide Stuffy in Training in charge.....)

Are you all having fun folks??? Golly howdy, but there is so much going on. I do hope you are able to make it round to most of the events.

Let's get this second set on the entertainment stage off to quiet start, with an offering by Andy Stanley (asst. Blogville Librarian)

In the west I'll be brave,
Image result for woody toy storyI'll not hide behind Mommies' legs
If I see a cow or horse,
I will stay my course.
But, if they come near to me,
then, I will run to my Mommy.

...and fair enough, too, Andy! All our smaller and first time puppers and kitties et al must take great care - particularly around the rodeo critters!  Okay. Next we have another classic of the Australian C&W scene...

Never mind boys from the bush.... this next fella's from the ocean!

The COWBOY Finds his Home...
        by Frankie Furter and Ernie

There once was a Sailor who made a Ship his Home.
Over the Seas he did Roam.
Then one day he Tired of that way of life.
He thought pawhaps he should settle on land and take a Wife.
So the ship he did Jump.
And he landed in the wild wild WEST with a Bump.
    He bought a nice pony..
      that was only Slightly boney...

   which brought him MUCH Joy.
He learned to Rope and to Ride
he didn't even Miss the TIDE.
Beans and Biscuits became his favorite Food
He dressed in Chaps and Boots and was a real wild west Dood.
He learned to Talk with a TWANG
and it came through when he SANG.
The Sailor was no more...
He had no further use for the Shore.
     He worked on a Ranch
and Drank beer at a saloon called the Long Branch.
   He wore a SIX GUN
and at RODEOS had so much FUN.
But he still looked to the night sky
for bright stars to Spy.
Even though he had traded the Waves that that did Pitch,
for the Prairies  which were quite a Switch.
    THE END

BWAHAHAHHHAHAH - great one Hill Guys!.. time for a little clowning around...

Now for a little something from Madi...

Out yonder in the country
The niiiiiiiights are long
The stars are briiiiiiiigt
Not nary a neighbor to your left or riiiiiiiight
When we eat fried chicken, collard greens and yam
We always remember to say thank you ma'am!!

...getting us ready for a visit to the chuck wagon!!!

Let's not forget that rodeos are all about showing off the skills for the grand art of cattle handling. It's rough and tumble work and here is one of the best songs representing that:

That's the end of the second set..... don't forget to return for the grand finale!!!
