What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Longing TOO long

What's that>>> no 'menotitle'??!!!  No my dears. As spoken yesterday, I am now Down Under and these are scheduled posts. A number of pre-existing 'fancifuls' are getting the work-over. As I would normally use 'Menolyrical...' to title such, it would become a tad monotonous and not at all convey the adventures in words which lie beneath the tags! Therefore, for several posts over the next two months, you will spot the 'lyrical and nonsensical' by the lack of meno. [oh to be meno-free.....]

This first title serves several purposes; for too long I have been longing to get some full and proper writing done; for long, I have been longing for this trip back to OZ; as am away for long, there was a need to fill these spaces to maintain a flow - it's not that I won't be online. Australia has a rep for being behind the times, but I assure you, broadband is available! However, time will be at a premium and creating posts could be 'iffy'.  That said, there is every possibility that you will see a break in these transmissions and a return to meno-service... you just never never know with the YAMster and her show!

The title also refers, of course, to the little tale which follows. It was prompted originally by Grandma's Goulash meme. The picture is provided and the bonus word to be incorporated was 'yearn'. As you will see - this just had to be first off the retread blocks.

Ridgdidge was confused.  She wanted to go that way.  But all the signs said it was the opposite way.  Oh how she yearned for clear direction.

Word has gone out;  all ‘roos to attend corroboree.  White fella he never know.  He think the posts warn against attack of ‘roo. Well, it helps, keeps us safe.  Gratitude for that.

But this you see is a sign to me; the time has come once more to join at the edge of  time.  Join with our Ajunta brothers.  Join with Koori, Indjilinji, Yanda and Ayerrerenge. Meet again with Luritja, Ngalia, Gunindiri, Warlpiri and Yankunytjatjara. All our man-peers and, too, with all ‘roo tribes.  Serpent will be there.  Spider will be there.  Lizard will be there.

Together we will chant and dance.  Become one again.  As before.  We all yearn for that time.  Dreamtime.

  1. We are just thinking of you in Oz. It must be a beautiful time of year to be there as the earth opens up and welcomes spring!
