WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menologue; The OZ Venture

The Monday following the Scotland Island weekend was a quiet one at home with Remus. Akka had arrived from Portland Oregon for a couple of weeks visit. "Akka" is the Sri Lankan term for elder sister - in this case of N (Emm's hubby) and therefore, by default, of all in the house. Akka and I enjoy each other's company, so it was lovely that our visits coincided.

Emm got busy in the kitchen - lots of food prep, but not least, plenty of fruit and salads.

On the Tuesday, the start of an intense six days came; Swami Swaroopananda ("Our" swami-ji) was making his half-yearly visit from India. Four evenings of talks and satsang, then a day and a half of meditation and discourse on the Maha MRtunjaya Mantra, then a half day at the cinema for a showing of the Chinmaya Creations Film of Gurudev's life (starring my very own "Son-one", a fellow student from Sandeepany!)

Swami-ji is a most inspiring speaker and is able to connect with all ages, all personalities, all from any walk of life.

Emm and I had an amazing week.

Plus, it gave us the opportunity to sari-up every day!
