WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menologue; The OZ Venture

Perhaps in response to the healing process of the meditation weekend, perhaps in response to the KERAZEY schedule up till that point, but on the Tuesday of the fourth week, (Dec 1st, for those who've been paying attention),  I got crook.

To be honest, it was the day before, but was in denial. Had been to yet another meet-up and lunch, and after a week of wet and cold, it was a belter, up to the mid 30'sC. I joked with Emm later in the day, when the headache was roaring, the sweat was pouring and the flesh was crawling, that I might have taken a helping of heat stroke. The fact  we had been undercover all day made that a nonsense. I retired early then had all sorts of yukkies during the night. I was out of commission for the rest of the week. It meant cancelling the home visit with Merle and a couple of other meets and rescheduling others which just could not be missed. That's okay. Meant moochie times with Remus.

When I started to get up after a couple of days, we would explore the yard together and helped Emm get the Chrissy Dex organised. Remus is a great snooperviser.

There were a couple of uninvited guests discovered as the dex came out of the garage... the Australian Magpie. Great characters these little fellas and they can become quite tame. This was a blow-in though. Not a pet. Neither is the possum which appeared out of a box from the top shelf. Emm lifted it down and then dropped it with a scream to rock the universe. Out ran the even more traumatised ring-tailed possum.  I did not have the Fudge with me. But later was able to grab a very fuzzy piccie to prove the presence of the critter.

The weekend brought strength back and return of scheduling of visits and activities... which continued up till Thursday 10th. Remus got all pouty again because the YAMster was packing her bags once more. This was for the trip within the trip... up to Queensland.

  1. Really great pictures of Remus. He does look sad about your leaving!

P.S: I have kind of a fear of possums so glad there wasn't a close up of this critter in your post. LOL

  2. Too bad you had a few days of feeling 'crook'. But Remus looks a fine wee laddie.

  4. Remus is a real Cutie.... and has GORGEOUS... very EXPRESSIVE Eyes. It is easy to SEE that he did NOT want you to leave.

OMD a Surprise POSSUM... WHOA... that would have had anyone Screaming.

It is a shame that you felt "CROOK"... Vacations often do that, don't they?

  6. Crikey Aunty ... We've got those possum blokes at our house too. I like to chase 'em but Mum gets awful mean at me when I do. She feeds them for goodness sake!!!! Apples and bananas! What's with that? If she starts giving them my chicken necks I'll have a thing or two to say!
