WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menologue; The OZ Venture

If you dropped by yesterday you would have seen what amounted to an introduction to today's post... after Natural Bridge we drove up to the Hinze (pronounced Hin-zee) Dam. I noted on the way up that there was an area where many trees appeared to be dying; Neil told me that the dam has recently been 'upraised' some 15 metres which has resulted in equivalent rise in the water levels - as intended. The bush pays the price.

(Am amazed that drive-by shooting produced anything worth showing you!)  The BIG picture yesterday gave you the basic story of the dam's upgrade. Another couple of info-signs were of interest also (you'll need to bigify these for reading - worth the doing, I promise!)

I love big projects and spaces like this. As can be seen by the reading of this info, much is done to minimise the impact on the environment and ecology - whilst acknowledging that there is an inevitable effect of human expansion upon the land.

It is just such a shame that the weather prevented us from truly embracing the visit; it started to blatter and we had to run for cover. On the way, I managed a few glory shots...

The Welcome Swallow, an Australian species which is almost always 'on the wing'... getting the opportunity to photograph one, never mind two, settled on a surface is quite a privilege!

Cute little peckers, eh? Look closely and you can see the raindrops.

Well Eric, were we finished with the day yet? No, we were not... Come back tomorrow for a look at some wild architecture.

WAIT YAMum... WAAIIIITTTTT!!!

Whassup pup?

Shirley you haven't forgotten about the shout-out in Blogville of some of our fave bloggies that others may not have visited yet?

Not forgotten; just needed to find a spot. Regular readers here may know many of the bloggies we like to visit - particularly within the boundaries of Blogville. PARTICULARLY AS THEY ARE ALL LISTED IN THE RIGHT SIDE-BAR.

It would be good to take this chance, to point some of you towards West Australia and the Geriatric Grandmother...Mimsie. This dear lady is in her mid-80s and has a lovely cat called Candy (who sometimes gets her piccie taken). Mimsie loves to share the simple things in life; flowers, pets, life in general... and she loves visitors - she almost always responds to comments.

Now the truth is I love all those listed over on the right - that's why they are there - and you get an idea of whether they might be of interest by the way they have been listed. Something that might be missed by some though, is the second bloggy of Dory's mamma in which she has her daily photographs. You can view it here.

Look, I could list them all again here - but am not going to. There's limits to my space and your patience. One last link I would like to highlight here, though, is the bloggy of BOZO, who's url is the wonderful 'pets forever'! Before I met many people in the blogosphere and particularly before I arrived in Blogville, Bozo and his dad were my loyal followers and, what is more, they were the first bloggers I got to meet in the furs!

But really efurrybuddy - do like I do when I see a list on another's bloggy - go exploring!!! Who knows who you will meet?

Well done YAMum - you saved face with that one I think... but wait up again! What about mentioning the mayor doodz, who have set this ball rolling.

Phew, thanks pup. If, by some weird coincidence you don't know the doodz, you're missing out!
