'A sense of humour lends you poise, it gives you balance and it helps you to bend without breaking'

One of the great manifestations of capital 'ell' Love is compassion. When we have this love and sympathy for another's poor state, we fund some ability to provide succour in one form or another; it is a fundamental part of comfortable community living. In this TED talk, Robert Thurman (yes, Uma's dad; but he was also the first American to be ordained as a Tibetan monk by the Dalai Lama) mentions 'the charter'; it is a reference to an organisation which has been established to encourage the action of compassion arising from Love.

  1. CARING about Others is SOOOOOOO impawtant.

  2. I agree.... and we feel love and empathy for people and pets around us... even when we never met them in the furs... they are are part of us and we share the good and the bad times...
