Menotripsical; BAR and Beyond - Day 2 with J&J

June 23rd dawned bright and shiny and the decision was made that we were to drive down to Kingston, which university Joe had attended. On the way we stopped in Inverary - being familiar with the original right here in Scotland (albeit spelt InverarAy), this was a must. It has to be said it's a place which has seen better days - as this sole image may tell you.

Kingston is on the shore of Northern Lake Ontario, where it becomes the St Lawrence River. Sadly, none of my pictures of the main Uni buildings were anything like decent... but when we stopped by the performing arts building, the Fudge got excited. It was beautiful.

All that aluminum tiled so symmetrically, the pavers too. The reflections of the water. The gleam of the sun.... Oh yes, an architectural gem.

From here we drove round to the Holiday Inn and had a fine lunch beside the water. On the way in we passed some of the older architecture, including the town hall.

Before finding our way home, we drove round Fort Henry and the Military College - some interesting hardware! I would have loved to have had the time to spend the day there.

We had to get back to Perth for 5pm... I had chappals to collect from the cobbler. I also had to get packed. I was leaving on the morrow.

Before I left though, I just had to take a tour of Jenn's garden - a place of much interest. Annabel cat kept me company. Here's a click of the flag raised in welcome - the rest will appear on next Tuesday's Me-Now-Views.

Interesting question! It was advertised anywhere there - but I just found it online... it is 1500sqft (yes it said feet not metres) at CA$1500/month. I suspect, based on similar appearances on the whole main street, to make one hundred sales of a value of $15 in any given month would be a challenge... Yxx
