WELCOME TO NOVEMBER.
The YAMster and her blogpal, Kay, had a F A B u lous road trip. Needless to say, you are going to be reading all about it. To get things started though, and to whet your appetite...
You'll guess from the first one that the traditional weather of this Bonny Land held true, and many a shower was with us. Did it stop us? Most certainly not!
It turned out that the already mild and relatively dry autumn weather held for us at all the right times for getting in those photo ops which are so essential to this kind of adventure. More, the low sun, bright autumn colours and grizzly skies, lent ATMOSPHERE +++

...and of course, there was lots of the bucolic also... |

Expect to see lots of this geographic feature. Suilven. YAM's most favourite mountain in the world. (...and that's saying something!) |

A panoramic... The village on the right is Kilmichael. Click to biggify - it's worth it! |
Suilven! Just what we were hoping for!
ReplyDeleteGail tells me that she and Hamish once climbed it, so maybe one day she'll take me too. She says its not quite so scary as it appears from a distance but that the approach walk is long (and boggy).
Now that you've thoroughly whetted our appetites, do we really have to wait 24 hours for more pics...?
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
I am so excited to see all the photos.
ReplyDeleteSuilven is a beautiful mountain. I have never met a mountain I didn't love. I am a mountain girl stuck in the Piedmont of NC.
Hugs Cecilia

ReplyDeleteOn the road again ~ oh I love seeing road trips. That stone fence reminds me of the ones we see down in the southern part of Kentucky.

What a mountain. How high up did you drive?
