At the distance we were when taking this, I thought it was juniper. On inspection through enlargement I came to see that these were just berries from the rowan (see below) which found a new host on a silver spruce!

  1. Yam Aunty thank goodness me you are not asking us to select our favorite photo from this post. Oh my goodness each photo is worthy of a frame. In the 5th photo I love the one on the right. And that tiny horned cow is adorable. Well minus the sticky horns. The red berries....oh my . I'll stop now

  6. OMD is that a Red Angus cow? Our Frosty who passed away last year was a Red Angus she was 13 and a big wonderful pet. My Dad took it hard when he had to call the vet to put her down. Mom said she was like a puppy always in the middle of whatever you were doing. Mom use to make her honey and sugar sandwiches.

    Aroo to you,
    Sully

Hiya Sully - yes RED ANGUS!.. but this was a bullock; a young male being prepared for the market. As a veggo, I do have trouble with that. I love that you kept Frosty as a pet. Cattle are such intelligent critters and can definitely become family members!!! In Indian villages, every family has a pet cow (Brahman or Buffalo) from which they obtain their milk and dung for fuel and fertiliser and each cow knows who it belongs to! Sending Love to you... 7. Love the Coo.
On the Clashnessie picture I think I can spot the cottage that I tried to buy (but was outbid on) before I purchased the Torridon cottage.
Cheers, Gail (currently marooned in a Premier Inn on the outskirts of Norwich. Oh to be within sight of Suilven).
