YaYa,Many years (maybe mid 70's early 80's) I read a book, Message from Nam, that was made into a movie for TV. The book meant a lot to me because I knew nothing about Vietnam but in 1968 two dear friends from high school lost their lives during the war. I wanted to know more. There was a scene in the book about a Buddist Temple that could be heard from a War reporter's room. Vietnam seemed to be a peaceful at heart. She spoke about the peace it gave her. The tv movie was excellent and the scene from the Temple was well done. The deep mellow, calming sounds of bells and symbols and chanting. That movie was also where I firs heard the poem, 'The road not taken" by Robert FrostLast two lines stay with me still"I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference"Hugs HiC
Hari omThankyou for such a wonderful remembrance HiC! I recall the title you mention and know it made quite an impact on folk - as it ought. We need constant reminders, it seems, that in a disturbed world, peace IS possible... hugs from OZ with jet lag, Yxx
it's super relaxing... thanks for sharing.... even the energizer bunny found some rest while listening with me...
It is so peaceful. We heard some on our recent adventure!
