MenoSunday; Life Lived Lovingly

Some sounds for you this week. A wonderful Buddhist temple chanting of the Great Prayer in that faith... Om Mani Padme Hum. Let it's rhythm sway you; enjoy the scenes and quotes on the clip; most of all, all the essence of Love flow through you.

  1. YaYa,
Many years (maybe mid 70's early 80's) I read a book, Message from Nam, that was made into a movie for TV. The book meant a lot to me because I knew nothing about Vietnam but in 1968 two dear friends from high school lost their lives during the war. I wanted to know more. There was a scene in the book about a Buddist Temple that could be heard from a War reporter's room. Vietnam seemed to be a peaceful at heart. She spoke about the peace it gave her. The tv movie was excellent and the scene from the Temple was well done. The deep mellow, calming sounds of bells and symbols and chanting. That movie was also where I firs heard the poem, 'The road not taken" by Robert Frost
Last two lines stay with me still
"I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference"
    Hugs HiC

Thankyou for such a wonderful remembrance HiC! I recall the title you mention and know it made quite an impact on folk - as it ought. We need constant reminders, it seems, that in a disturbed world, peace IS possible... hugs from OZ with jet lag, Yxx
