It's a conundrum, this trying to sort the mind out. Regardless of all theory and knowledge, it is only when one is challenged in a manner which directly tests that theory and knowledge, that one can discover if one is capable of practice.
Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach... but the best of teachers are those who practice what is taught.
"Be the change...", isn't that the way?
Lots of slow, deep breaths. Lots of making flow charts for externalising the situation in the hope of clarity. Lots of cups of chai. A bit of bemoaning to those who will listen, in order to decompress. Aching heart and churning stomach are purely biological, 'fight or flight' symptoms... ignore them. Be the adult where others cannot be. More slow, deep breaths. Find an alternative focus for the times in between the 'doing' so that the mind doesn't turn one into a bowl of trifle.
The alternative focus is currently 'spot the difference' from the apps store. Free fun for everyone! Have been through four versions already, and just downloaded the fifth. It engages the brain nicely. So do the crosswords and, more recently, sudoku.
Anything to keep the little grey cells from fusing.
In searching for other quizzing options, I came across one which tested observation... scored 99%... which might explain why the 'spot the difference' is getting munched through so quickly. According to the calculation...
Sigh... yeah, maybe... the flaw in this test may be that it wasn't timed. I did it in a bit under two minutes. One could of course take all day to search the matrices.
D'ya fancy having a go? Click here. James has a whole heap of other interactive quizzes (here)... I liked the 'art personaity' one as it was pretty spot on. Turns out I am an 'Art Deco-ist'. Who knew?

Congratulations, you scored the top score which means your observation skills are ON POINT!!
You have a sharp eye and are extremely observant! You are a detail oriented, sharp individual who tends to see things that other people don't. This quality is likely to take you places!
