What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

That full moon was powerful. Not-so-super, if you work on the scale of events surrounding or consequential thereof.

What's she wittering on about now?

Things that go wrong. There have been studies about the effects of full moon on emergency service callouts and hospital admissions and they consistently come to the conclusion that there is, in fact, no effect. Yet, those who work in the services (and I was one for a long time), definitely experience an increase of needs at the full moon times. In my case, it was the aggravation of existing conditions such as Alzheimer's and Louis Body Dementia, which was observed. Some of my old darlings could really go off the deep end. Not just one, or two. It was that they would all get more agitated at the same time. Often we staff hadn't kept track, but then someone would ask, 'is it a full moon?' Almost inevitably, it would be.

Sadly, three blogpals reported during last week, that they had parents who needed to be hospitalised. Am sending out continued POTP to them and their families. Also to any others who are facing such challenge.

For myself, it was the getting packed and hauling it all down to L'il Ren - and discovering that I couldn't get into her. Que??? Walked all around town to obtain replacement batteries for the keycard. Still nothing. Clearly, Ren's battery had died. The next morning, I called the breakdown folks. Thank goodness for insurance. First time I have ever had to make use of it. Within two hours a bloke turned up, stuck his magic charger on the points and kaboom, we had lift off. He waited as the car kept running and I dashed upstairs to get my bags and then I had to keep her engine ticking whilst on the ferry.

Next panic, no fuel! In all the flurry had neglected to check the readings - am always very observant as a rule. Sigh. Thankfully, had noticed before passing the last petrol station before the motorway.

Now am in Auld Reekie and the Rugby Six Nations began this weekend. Winter Olympics coming up. The cloud cleared that main night and the Fudge managed a full-lens-stretch. Things can only get better. Surely.

  1. Golly Gee Aunty that full super moon cast a spell over your Hutch and Ren. Thank goodness for road service. Fingers crossed your return trip to the Hutch is not eventful at all.

  3. My clients all seemed squirrely last week. We blamed the moon but it could equally be the weather here. We are all done with winter.

  4. Full moons were always a worry here when we had Angel Ciara - almost always set off a cycle of seizures:( Hope the rest of your trip goes well with no more problems.

  6. Hello, sorry about all the car problems. I am always reminding hubby to keep the gas filled. We have the road side service, it is a big help with the car break downs. Love your full moon photo. Take care, Enjoy your day!

  7. I'm glad that you got the car running and filled with gas in time! You are right - surely things will get better! I have a little battery pack with "Cobra" in the name that I can use to jump start my car when the battery is dead. It really works! I now carry it with me on almost all car outings.

That is a beautiful photo of the super moon!

  10. What a fabulishious shot! You can really see the rabbit. The Eclipse was at 5:30 AM, I was outside and alas, there were too many clouds, but when I left for work 45 minutes later, the clouds cleared and i got a great shot of a red moon with a bite out of it!
Too bad about the car troubles.
Yes it has been a tough Moon on people. Besides my dad 2 others in my circle had parent or personal health issues! I am hoping for a better new moon.
