What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menolyrical; Words for Words' Sake

Pulling one out of the archives; it was worked on the premise that a picture tells...

And here lie the 1000 words
within the space of me
they require not to be spoken
neither split asunder by the
wordsmith's ink-stained axe
they simply require to be
for myself alone and free
of any burden put upon them
by society's garbled mask

And here lie the 1000 words
unspoken history
connecting all wondrous nature
through the linking thread of sound
wrapped in packets called
words so literary as
we expect them to be churned
a lovely sentence thus creating
but the freedom ending up walled

And here lie the 1000 words
scattered throughout ether
no crisp white parchment have we now
nor quill with liquid squid defence
ahimsa rules here
no tree has bowed its head
been laid to earth and stripped low
but beware there's one thing you should know
the power driving this comes from whence

And here lie the 1000 words
contained within each frame
the balance oh the sweet balance
that's keeping us all together
hung precariously
illuminations in our mind
nothing more than the Lord's side-glance
brought about by some spark's passing chance
strung on His gossamer tether

Last time this appeared, there were questions about 'ahimsa'... I shall write about it tomorrow.

Thanks to all participants in February's FFF; look for that next book and page 87... the next linky is on
